During her set at Madison Square Garden in New York City over the weekend, Billie Eilish briefly halted her performance to allow her fans to “take a breath,” while also urging attendees to give each other personal space before delving into her next song.

Footage from a fan at the show was obtained by TMZ. In the video, Eilish can also be heard asking concertgoers in the front row to take a step back, give each other some room and keep the wellbeing of fellow fans in mind.

Billie’s breather moment at the NYC show comes after Kanye West said he would pull out of his headlining slot at Coachella this year after assuming the “Happier Than Ever” songstress made a dig towards Travis Scott during her tour stop in Atlanta.

Earlier this month, while performing at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, Eilish noticed a fan in the crowd who was struggling to breathe. The “NDA” artist stopped everything and immediately attempted to help the fan from the stage. Eilish offered to give the attendee an inhaler and asked concertgoers around her to back up and create space. She said, “I wait for people to be OK until I keep going,” which prompted Ye to defend Scott, presuming Eilish was referencing the Astroworld Festival fatalities, where 10 attendees were left dead and hundreds sustained injuries.

On Instagram, the “Hurricane” rapper demanded that Eilish apologize to Travis and the families of the victims before taking the stage at the Indio-based festival this year. The grandparents of Ezra Blount, a nine-year-old victim of the Astroworld tragedy, responded to Kanye’s public backlash, calling his demand for Billie’s apology “idiotic” and “ridiculous.”

Eilish responded to West’s now-deleted post, writing, “literally never said a thing about Travis. was just helping a fan.”

The “Sicko Mode” artist, and various festival organizers are facing one consolidated lawsuit, which demands billions in damages. The suit consists of 400 separate lawsuits from about 2,8000 victims of the Astroworld tragedy.
