Releasing July 9, the track is the fifth song to be released from Eilish's forthcoming sophomore album, Happier Than Ever, which will be available beginning July 30. Previously released songs from the 16-track project include "Your Power," "My Future," Lost Cause," and "Therefore I Am."
Expectations for the album are high, as Eilish received a GRAMMY for her debut album, When We Fall Asleep, Where do We Go? in 2020.
Eilish revealed in an interview with British Vogue in early May that the upcoming album was an outlet for her to express her frustration surrounding sexual misconduct and empower individuals who have been taken advantage of to rise up stronger.
“It was very satisfying to scream," Eilish said of her vocals on the upcoming project. "Because I was very angry. There’s so much anger in those songs - anger and disappointment and frustration."
"It’s an open letter to people who take advantage – mostly men," Eilish continued, referring to the first song to be released from the project, "Your Power." "It’s really not at all about one person. You might think, ‘It’s because she’s in the music industry’ – no, dude. It’s everywhere.”
Happier Than Ever is available to pre-save now, and will be released in its entirety July 30.
