Blake Shelton had fans seeing double when he paid a visit to his Ole Red bar in Tishomingo, Oklahoma to visit a Shelton cover band called Blake Nation. While the group (complete with a lead singer who commits to the part sporting Shelton's famous barbed-wire tattoo) was performing in honor of Shelton’s birthday, they were the ones who got the present of a lifetime.

When Blake caught news of the cover band, who was returning to play their fourth annual show in honor of his birthday, he decided to show up at the venue to watch their show. Here’s how it all went down…
“The entire band was down in the green room, eating dinner and waiting for the show to begin,” Blake Nation told Country Now. “As we were all sitting around, eating, and talking, we heard a knock on the outside door. A couple of us looked at each other puzzled because who would be knocking at this door?”
They continued, “Our bass player, Jesse McCall, got up, unlocked, and opened the door. Then we all hear a man say, ‘What kind of bull**** party is this?’ and in walked Blake Shelton. For a brief moment, we were all in shock and frozen.”
Classic Blake moment!
Shelton went on to spend time with the group and stuck around to watch their show in front of a sold-out crowd.
“I like it when y’all play my music,” Shelton told Blake Nation. “It actually sounds like it should.”
Blake Nation was formed in 2017 and includes David Newton (Lead Vocals + Blake Doppelgänger), Kymber Newton (Vocals), Robert Han (Guitar, Banjo), Dave Powell (Lead Guitar), Jesse McCall (Bass), Phillip Walker (Keyboard), and Quay Cooke (Drums).
