In a partnership with Epicleff Media, RADIO.COM's Cadence13 announced today they would be joining forces to launce a new season of "Blockbuster" - an award-winning and critically acclaimed biopic miniseries.
Season one of the podcast, "Blockbuster: The Story of George Lucas and Steven Spielberg," told the story of the two greats who revolutionized 1970s Hollywood with "Jaws" and "Star Wars."
The series was named Adweek's 2019 "Creative Podcast of the Year" and won two New York Festivals Radio Awards.
Now, the upcoming season will chronicle the works of James Cameron, the mastermind behind works like "The Terminator," "Aliens," "The Abyss," "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," "True Lies," "Titanic," and "Avatar."
The series, which will be ten episodes long, will take place from 1977 to 1997 and follow Cameron's rise to fame, beginning with work on his own short film to taking a gamble on "Titanic."
The podcast will chronicle how a Hollywood outsider was able to break his way in through relationships and box office hits.
Written, narrated, and directed by Emmy-award winning journalist and filmmaker Matt Schrader, the series will feature film-caliber sound design and over 75 characters played by an extensive cast.
"Blockbuster: The Story of James Cameron" will launch on June 17 on the RADIO.COM app.
