
Cardi B is opening up about being famous, and the rap superstar thinks that being a celebrity comes with constant ridicule.

Cardi elaborated on her feelings towards fame during an Instagram Live on Tuesday. “I hate fame. I hate being famous,” she expressed. The “WAP” rapper additionally offered her 129 million followers some advice. “Let me tell y'all something. If y'all ever wished to be rich and famous, don't wish to be famous. Wish to be rich.” Cardi went on to say: “Why me? Why me? I feel like God cursed with fame, dead a**. Dead f****** a**. God really cursed me with fame."
Cardi’s IG Live rant lasted about seven minutes. Apparently it was sparked by her latest public outing– which was posted on social media. According to XXL, the GRAMMY-winning artist is alluding to backlash she received after jokingly making a snorting gesture at a Met Gala afterparty. Following this year’s Met Gala, Cardi hosted the Playboy afterparty at the Standard in New York City. Attendees included Camila Cabello, Dove Cameron, Gunna, Tessa Thompson, and more.
The rapper made her Met Gala debut in 2018, wearing Jeremy Scott designed Moschino.
