When asked if she was working on a new album, the recent ACM award winner responded, “I meannn I don’t know that 29 is over.” Eluding to a continuation of her EP, 29 which she released last February. Although Pearce stayed pretty tight-lipped about the project during her interview with Gunner and Cheyenne, she later posted more hints on social media.

“I’ve realized over the last few weeks that I wasn’t entirely finished writing my 29 chapter…” Pearce posted accompanied by a black and white photo of her in the studio. The news has got Pearce’s fans giddy with excitement and awaiting any more info about the sequel.

Pearce released her original album 29 in February. It features seven songs including her current single, “Next Girl,” the title track and the emotional tribute to her later producer, Busbee, “Show Me Around.”

New music isn’t the only thing Carly is carrying right now. On Sunday night’s 56th Annual ACM Awards she walked away with two awards for her song with Lee Brice , “I Hope You’re Happy Now.” The song won in the Single of the Year category as well as Music Event of the Year.

“I still can’t believe it’s all real,” Carly told Gunner and Cheyenne. “It’s just such a feeling that I haven’t wanted to experience my whole life and it was totally worth the wait.”
