First off, carolesdaughter tells us that she has plans for a full-length project in the works. “I am working on a body of work right now; 'Trailer Trash' is going to be a part of that. It's going to be called 'Please Put Me in a Medically Induced Coma,'” explains Taylor. She supposes the record should be out by this coming winter but adds, “I have another song planning to come out soon, after ‘Trailer Trash’ and then yeah… like the whole project.”
In previous conversations, carolesdaughter has spoken about how a vast majority of her songwriting took place while she was in rehab.
Sharing that she wrote over 130 songs while receiving treatment and said “It’s always been the easiest way for me to like get my emotions out.”
When asked if being out of rehab and maintaining sobriety could stunt her creative abilities, the “Violent” singer tells us, “My experience is a little bit the opposite, because I did most of my writing completely sober… I didn’t have the distraction, or my mind wasn’t clouded.”
She adds, “my problem has been coming home, being back in the real world and there’s just like so much going on that sometimes its really hard to find inspiration in the really small things because you’re just so distracted.”
However, carolesdaughter’s career took off during a time when it wasn’t possible to perform live. Now as the U.S. begins its slow crawl back to live performances the artist says that she’s already put thought into what it will look like when she can begin performing live. “I also think like it’s important that I kind of start small… because it has gone from zero to 100 in a sense, like for me. So, it would be really like intimidating to open up like a giant arena, when I’ve never played live as carolesdaughter, but I do have a lot of experience in performing and this is what I’ve wanted to do my whole life.”
