Catherine Zeta-Jones shared a touching tribute to her legendary father-in-law Kirk Douglas, following his death at the age of 103.

“To my darling Kirk, I shall love you for the rest of my life,” the “Chicago” actress captioned a black-and-white photo giving Kirk a kiss on the cheek.

She added, “I miss you already. Sleep tight…”

Zeta-Jones’ husband Michael Douglas confirmed the passing of his father on Wednesday.

“It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103,” the “Wall Street” star said in a statement. “To the world, he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies who lived well into his golden years, a humanitarian whose commitment to justice and the causes he believed in set a standard for all of us to aspire to.”

He continued, “But to me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was simply Dad, to Catherine, a wonderful father-in-law, to his grandchildren and great grandchild their loving grandfather, and to his wife Anne, a wonderful husband.”

With over 92 acting credits, Kirk was nominated for three Academy Awards and received an honorary Oscar in 1996 for being a creative force in the industry.

It’s been revealed that this Sunday’s Oscars will include Kirk in its “In Memoriam” section honoring the members of the film community that have departed in the last year.

According to Variety, the montage had already been completed but producers raced to include him because of the monumental effect he had on the film business and the world.

In addition to Michael, Kirk is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anne Buydens, and his two other sons, Joel and Eric.
