It’s been two months since the release of Chase Rice’s newest album and his timing couldn’t be better. Anchored in songs surrounding the Cowboy lifestyle, Rice says the project coincidentally falls right into place with all the buzz surrounding Paramount+’s hit series, Yellowstone.

“It’s kind of crazy because Yellowstone has taken over the world, or America it seems like these days,” Rice told Audacy’s Rob + Holly. “We wrote almost this whole record before Yellowstone was popular. But I’ll take it, if people are into cowboy stuff these days — which they are, clearly — that’s cool. This fits right in there.”
It’s a natural fit for Chase, who says this record is the most authentic he’s ever made. But he has also dabbled in television appearances, so naturally we wonder, would Chase ever take a role on Yellowstone if given the opportunity?
“It depends, it depends on what they’d ask me to do,” he said. “I’ve been asked to do a lot of Hollywood stuff before from Survivor… that was a cool experience. The Bachelor was not such a cool experience. That was — if you saw that — it was Holly-wooded up and all that. If they [Yellowstone] wanted something like that, I wouldn’t want anything to do it with it. I don’t think [director] Taylor [Sheridan] would do that.”
Asked if he would play the part of a love interest, Chase naturally replied, “Who would pass that up?” He even has someone in mind…
“Hassie Harrison I believe is her acting name, I don’t know what her name is in the show [Laramie] I met her back on set one day,” he shared. “I was out there fly-fishing and happened to walk over and catch some filming. Give me Hassie all day and we’ll fall in love, happily every after, cowboy it up.”
