Just one year after remarrying, Talinda Bennington has filed for divorce.
The former wife of Chester Bennington filed for divorce on Wednesday in Los Angeles County Court. In 2019 Talinda tied the knot with L.A. county firefighter, Michael Fredman. The couple wed in Kahuku, Hawaii at Turtle Bay Resort on New Year’s Eve.
Bennington took to Instagram to share the news of the split. She writes, “Divorce is never easy, but in our case, it is for the best. We have remained good friends and he continues to be an important part of my children's lives."
While Talinda and Fredman did not have kids together, her children with Chester, Tyler, Lily, and Lila, were part of Talinda’s Hawaiian wedding ceremony in 2019.
On New Year’s Eve in 2005, Talinda and Chester held their wedding ceremony.

Talinda and Michael engaged two years after the Linkin Park singer’s tragic death. In a statement about her engagement Bennington said, “I can find love after tragedy. To all suicide loss survivors, you CAN be happy again. You CAN have space in your heart for grief, joy, happiness, sadness and love."
