You might have caught Chris Janson make a cameo and his music provide the soundtrack during a pivotal episode of Marshals this season, but is more acting in the future for the “Good Vibes” singer?

LISTEN NOW: Friday Night Takeover with Chris Janson

Janson joins Rob + Holly this week for the Friday Night Takeover, and looks back on his role in Marshals, and ahead to any additional acting gigs.

“We would definitely consider it, but I'm a restrictions actor,” Chris reveals. “So no physical anything, no emotional anything, not with any other women other than my wife.”

“I read a story once that George Strait was the same way during ‘Pure Country’ with his wife Norma, but I mean, I just love Kelly so much. Even though it's acting, I could still never do that.”

“I would love a part on one of those shows, but it would have to be a singular male part. That's it,” he adds, sharing that it would take a lot for him to step away from music and his home to jump into acting. “It's honestly just the time and the energy of acting, really. I am into music, yes, but I'm also way into my family and way into my home and my property and things like that.”

Janson talks a lot about his unwavering commitment to family life, which he prioritizes over his career, being sure to minimize his time on the road to maximize his time with family. "I'm really not there until about 30 minutes-ish before I play... Like I literally fly in last minute. Show up, put my stuff on, and go on stage and play,” he explains. “And literally, when I'm done, I exit the stage, get into a car, usually drive myself, and drive straight to an airplane and go home."

"Jesus comes first, my wife comes second, my kids come 3rd, period. That's it. And then music is just icing on the cake."
