Chris Pratt is under fire after comments he made on social media angered fans.
Earlier this week, the 42-year-old shared an Instagram post praising his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, and their “healthy” one-year-old daughter.
The actor's intention was to honor Schwarzenegger six weeks before her upcoming birthday, but it soon backfired.
Pratt captioned a photo of himself and Schwarzenegger that read, “Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!? We met in church. She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes i put in my ear buds to drown it out, but that’s love!"
As the post was directed positively, some fans took the message as dig at his ex-wife Anna Faris and their 9-year-old son, Jack, who has dealt with several health issues since being born prematurely.
Users on social media didn't take well to his post and have called the actor “cringe and vile.”
“I love Chris Pratt, but the ‘healthy daughter’ part is made me wince,” one person tweeted Thursday. “Although he may not have meant it as an insult, it sort of came off that way. Imagine how that will make his son feel, if he ever reads it?”
While another user said, “Chris Pratt has a kid with Anna Farris [sic] who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage during birth and now has slight physical disabilities because of it. But he made sure to write ‘healthy daughter’ here. Chris Pratt is a d***.”

Faris previously opened up about some of Jack's struggles.
“When Jack was born two months early, it came as a huge shock. And suddenly, your world completely shifts,” the "Mom" actress said in 2018, according to E! News. “Jack had a few surgeries. He had a few hernia surgeries, he’s had a few eye surgeries, and he had a little heart issue as well.”
Pratt and Faris were married in 2009 and finalized their divorce in 2018.
In August, Pratt and Schwarzenegger welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt. In an adorable Instagram photo, the actor introduced their daughter to their world, an up-close shot of the parents holding their baby’s hand.

“We are beyond thrilled to announce the birth of our daughter, Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt,” Pratt captioned the post.
He added: “We couldn’t be happier. Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed. Love Katherine and Chris.”
News of Pratt and Schwarzenegger’s pregnancy first made the rounds back in April, just ten months after their wedding in June 2019.
