If you’re catching Chrissie Hynde in concert soon, don’t expect to hear any hit songs from Pretenders.
Listen to songs from Chrissie Hynde and more on Audacy’s Women That Rock

Hynde took to Facebook to share a video from Pretenders guitarist James Walbourne’s side project His Lordship and touched on what the future of her live shows will look like.
For one, you won’t hear any Pretenders songs that helped make the band one of the most beloved groups in Rock.
“The other good news is that I’m completely dumping any sort of Greatest Hits set for now on,” Hynde wrote.
“I never wanted to go there in the first place but was trying to keep myself alive and pay the bills. And yes, I know that’s no reason to be in a rock band. (I was just too scared to go back to waitressing.)” Hynde went on to say “those greatest hits / ballads days are now behind me. If anyone wants to come and see me in the future it’s going to be punk rock/no hits.”
As of writing, Hynde doesn’t have any tour dates scheduled for 2022.
