On Tuesday, the Indio-based music festival launched an NFT marketplace built by FTX US. The three collections of Coachella-related NFTs will go on sale on Friday, February 4.

The Coachella Keys collection is a group of 10 NFTs that will be auctioned off by the company. The ten highest bidders will be awarded two lifetime wristbands that can be used for the iconic desert event. Coachella Keys NFTs holders will receive passes to Coachella every year and have “access to Coachella-produced virtual experiences forever.”

Additionally, purchases of the Coachella NFTs will include top-tier perks during the 2022 festival, including front row access and a dinner curated by a celebrity chef.

It is no shock that the company behind Coachella is getting behind the NFT trend. The festival’s parent company, AEG, changed the name of the Los Angeles-based Staples Center to the Crypto.com Arena this past November.

Aside from 10 lifetime Coachella pass NFTs, the festival will also sell 1,000 NFTs that customers can use to redeem a physical copy of a Coachella photo book. These NFTs will be priced at $180 each. At $60 apiece fans can buy one of 10,000 NFTs that come with “fan-favorite festival photos and never before heard soundscapes.”

A portion of Coachella’s NFT sales will be donated to GiveDirectly, Lideres Campensinas and Find Food Bank.
