Here’s one feature film lineup we didn’t see coming.

Robert De Niro, Colson “Machine Gun Kelly” Baker and John Malkovich will co-star in “Wash Me in the River,” a new drama directed by Randall Emmett, reports Deadline.

The film, described as “an action-thrilled in the vein of ‘No Country for Old Men,’” is about a recovering opioid addict out for revenge against the dealers who sold the drug’s responsible for his fiance’s death, and the two cops that are on his trail.

It will mark the second directorial credit of Randall Emmett, who is best known as the producer of films “2 Guns,” “Silence” and “The Irishman.”

The film kicks off production on Nov. 9 in Georgia and Puerto Rico.

In a statement on De Niro’s participation in the film, Emmett said, “I couldn’t be more excited to work with Bob again after many collaborations, including ‘The Irishman’ as a producer. I’m so grateful that he is supporting me as a filmmaker now. Colson was always my first choice to play the lead in the movie and John has been an icon of mine since childhood. Having them both attached with Bob is a dream come true.”

According to Deadline, Quavo from Migos is also in talks to join the cast.

Emmett just restarted production on his directorial debut, upcoming crime thriller “Midnight in the Switchgrass,” a film starring Bruce Willis and Megan Fox about the infamous Texas “Truck Stop Killer.” The film halted production just five days in due to the coronavirus pandemic.
