While the return of live music is just around the corner, Death Cab for Cutie is giving fans the opportunity to catch one of their concerts, all for a good cause.

Live At The Showbox is the latest full-length live album from Death Cab for Cutie and was recorded just before the COVID-19 lockdown over a series of three sold out shows at The Showbox in Seattle from February 24-26.
The live album will be available exclusively as a 24-hour Bandcamp Friday exclusive this Friday, May 7. An official release of the live album will come later this year. A portion of the proceeds from the Bandcamp release will go towards benefitting the National Independent Venue Association.
“Like so many other artists, we expected to play a lot of shows in 2020,” the band said in a statement.
“To gear up for the year ahead, we decided to warm up by playing an intimate, three-nightstand at a venue that's near and dear to our hearts - the Showbox in Seattle. Well, 2020 didn't quite turn out as we had planned - but happily those three magical nights last February did, and we're glad to say that we had them recorded.”
