Phew, it’s been a long 24 hours, and a lot of artists are feeling the myriad of emotions that have come with the 2020 Presidential Election.

With no winner announced yet, and Biden and Trump still in a close race, Demi Lovato is venting on Twitter about her feelings towards the election. The “Commander in Chief” singer is baffled by the fact that we have not seen an overwhelming blue wave this Election, particularly after the heightened Black Live Matters protests occurring throughout the summer, and the painfully enduring effects of the coronavirus pandemic that we have been fraught with since March.

Calls to get out the vote across every form of media have not only been consistent this year, but they have been tactically vigorous. While this election has seen a record number of votes cast, this election has not demonstrated a sweeping number of a specific party’s votes, leaving Lovato to Tweet, “I don’t get it. Truly.” She also says, “After this year and especially this summer it should’ve been a landslide.”
