The queen of Country music gave fans a very rare glimpse into her personal life yesterday when she posted a throwback photo of her and husband, Carl Dean. The image showed the couple as they walked hand-in-hand with Dean rocking a vintage (photoshopped) Dolly tee. The post was curated to bring attention to Dolly’s new online apparel shop.
“Find you a partner who will support you like my Carl Dean does,” Dolly captioned the throwback, pointing fans to her online store.
Dolly and Dean wed in 1966 after meeting on Parton’s first day in Nashville at a laundromat. While supportive of her career, Dean opts to stay out of the spotlight — a request Dolly has fully honored — which makes posts like this extra special and proves to some questioning fans that he’s actually real!
