In a recent conversation, Dominic and Haley shared their insights on collaborating to create a palpable chemistry between their characters.

Romeo International: "What was the process of finding this love hate chemistry in 'The Last Frontier'?"

Haley Bennett: "I think it might be the 2nd episode, which was our first chance we had working with each other, and Dominic, his character, is on the brink of his destruction, and I hold the key to his destruction. I remember filming it. It wasn’t written, but I just held the key up and went, FU, and that was the beginning of a really fun and dynamic exploration of these characters."

Dominic Cooper: "We rarely get the chance to witness such a comprehensive glimpse into a character’s history. Instead of resorting to fabricated explanations about our backgrounds or the origins of our relationship, the show presents everything authentically. Trust becomes the foundation of our connection. Hayley’s actions left me in awe, as she defied the conventional path. She never resorted to obvious choices; instead, she opted for peculiar and unconventional approaches, leaving most people bewildered."

"Despite attempts to stop her, she remained steadfast in her choices. One particularly remarkable scene showcased her true artistry. She decided to lie on the floor and perform the scene herself. The Director questioned her, considering her CIA agent status and the potential panic among the audience, however, Hayley remained resolute in her decision. This scene is brilliant because it captures the essence of human nature—our oddity, unpredictability, and peculiarity. I was captivated by it and realized that it fostered a sense of unity among us, as we embraced our unique perspectives in creating characters."

"While they may be an unconventional couple, many couples share this characteristic."
