In what might be the least bit or should we say BRIT of surprising news, last night Dua Lipa arrived, slayed and conquered at the 2021 BRIT Awards, in every way she possibly could.

Let’s start with her red carpet look. Serving sass and class in custom Vivienne Westwood from head to toe, Dua donned a corseted minidress with an asymmetric train. And as if we weren’t already screaming, she paired the off the shoulder number with a pearl choker, denier stocking garters, and a pair of lace-up platform boots, topped with mile-high bouffant hairdo. Giving us major modern-day Marie Antoinette vibes, with an Amy Winehouse edge, that we’ll be thinking and dreaming about for at least the next month.

Inside London’s O2 Arena tonight, (which is where the award show took place), Dua’s domination continued with an epic performance, which if you’re a real one and caught Studio 2054, should have seemed familiar in terms of vibes.

A Future Nostalgia medley, that started off with Lipa singing “Love Again” underground at a tube station (as they say across the pond). As the song transitioned to “Physical,” Dua shifted the party onto the stage, with a bit of TV magic of course. Obviously her Union Jack, chained up blazer and mini skirt stage ensemble did not disappoint, and neither did the rest of her performance. Which contained a dance break and Dua singing a few more songs from both the OG album and remixed Dance version, including “Pretty Please,” “Hallucinate,” and “Don’t Start Now.”

Following her performance, Dua took home two BRIT Awards, for Female Solo Artist, as well as Mastercard Album of the Year.

See, told ya, winners all around, Dua with physical awards, an epic performance, and a red carpet look that will stand the test of time- and then us, for simply living in her lifetime.
