There’s no doubt Dustin Lynch has brought a good time with his single, “Party Mode,” from his new album, Blue in the Sky. While the song is surely a hit, it isn’t the only one fans (and his Mom) are favoriting from his new album.
Now available on Audacy is Dustin Lynch's Blue In The Sky Radio, a station created by Dustin specifically for Audacy Country fans
Dustin recently joined a virtual listening party hosted by Audacy’s Katie Neal and during the call, some of Dustin’s biggest fans made it clear that there are other spotlight-worthy songs on the project. One of those being “Something’ That Makes You Smile.”
“I had shampoo in my hair the first time this song came on,” Dustin said of the first time he heard the tune, listening to cuts for his new album in the shower. “I was just like, ‘Holy crap! This is exactly what I needed to hear right now.’”
He continued, “This is my Mom’s favorite song. It’s just a special song that reminds me to take advantage of being home and do what I love and be with my friends and family,” he explained.
Another listener-favorite? “Stars Like Confetti,” which Lynch confirmed was co-written by friend, and fellow Country star, Thomas Rhett.
“Where I record a lot of my music… is about two houses down from Thomas Rhett’s house,” Dustin shared. “He loves to pop over and try to get songs on my album,” he laughed.
“[‘Stars Like Confetti’] just has a great live, energy feel to it…. It gives me a reason to have confetti cannons on stage and that rules!”
You can catch Lynch and all the promised confetti on his recently announced Party Mode Tour kicking off March 17 in New Braunsfels, TX.
