Sharing how the collab track came about, Enisa recalled being in the Atlantic Records studio, the record label both she and Galantis are signed to. “He was in the studio, and I hear something cookin’ up and I just stuck my head in, and was like ‘what’s going on?’” After voicing her desire to “hop” on the track, that’s exactly what she did, “and then they got JVKE on it, and that’s how it all came about.”

Enisa also chatted about going to the same high school as Joey Bada$$. While she didn’t actually have any classes with him, they did have one interaction, as she noted. “I remember seeing him this one time," she began. “I went into the auditorium with my friend, and nobody was there and it was him and his friend. They were playing with a phone right behind me, the phone hit my head,” she began laughing, “and I remember he didn’t apologize and that stuck with me forever," she said not too seriously.
Mentioning how crazy and full-circle life can be sometimes Enisa brought up how years later they ended up on the same Statik Selektah track with G-Eazy, but didn’t actually officially meet until a influencer event this passed October.
Enisa and Mike kept the conversation going, talking about how A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie actually helped connect her with her current record label. She also shared all about her experience repping New York in the American Song Contest, plus dropped a surprise tidbit that “years ago” she was actually on American Idol.
And that’s not even all, to listen to the entire conversation press play on the interview above.
