As we’re sure most of you would agree, when it comes to the Escobar family, we’d much prefer to stay in their good graces. Unfortunately, that is not the case for 2 Chainz .
According to TMZ reports the Georgia native is being sued by Escobar Inc. for a minimum of $10 million over the name of his two Atlanta restaurants, Escobar Restaurant and Tapas.
The lawsuit filed by Escobar Inc. states they own the trademark to Escobar’s name and likeness and Chainz’s use of it on the two restaurant locations, a website, social media, merchandise and even menu items without permission violates federal law. Along with the minimum $10 million settlement, the Escobar estate is also seeking an injunction to block any further use of the name and likeness at both restaurant locations.
2 Chainz has yet to acknowledge the lawsuit since the news broke, but did however share a post to commemorate the three-year anniversary of the release of Pretty Girls Like Trap Music.
Honestly, we'd probably awkwardly moon walk away from this one as well.
