The crushing weight of a giant wall clock around your neck is nothing compared to that of a tumbling boulder knocked loose from the side of a mountain. Rapper and TV personality Flavor Flav knows this personally after his car was struck by a large rock while driving from Las Vegas to Los Angeles.

The Public Enemy rapper and hype man considers himself lucky to have survived the wreck, with a representative telling TMZ that he was almost taken out after recent rains caused a boulder to fall down a cliffside along California's La Tuna Canyon Road and hit the right side of his car. Flav apparently lost control briefly but was able to pull the car over to safety.

"God is good," Flav's rep said following the accident. Adding, he "came very close to death but is super grateful to be alive." The rapper, whose car was totaled in the mishap, is reportedly physically OK, but shaken up over the entire ordeal.
