Nearly twenty years ago, famed R&B trio, 3LW disbanded. Comprised of Adrienne Bailon (now Houghton), Naturi Naughton and Kiely Williams, the ladies were everywhere during the early 2000s.

With their hit singles, "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)" and "Playas Gon' Play," their debut album was certified platinum. However, when they broke up in 2002 over a rumored food fight, fans were shocked. Naughton, then 18, stated, "Kiely throws her plate of food all in my face — mashed potatoes, macaroni all in my hair, down my clothes, messing up my [hair]do! Nobody has the right to hit me. That's not what I'm here for, ... to be physically abused."
However, Bailon and Williams both denied the claims. Now, it seems the rumors were true. Recently, Phylicia Rashad found herself among the latest cancel culture candidates when she expressed her sentiments amid Bill Cosby's release from prison.
Though Janet Hubert penned a great response, Naughton stood by Rashad's side. She took to Instagram saying, "Why are Black People so quick to #Cancel each other! We are ALLOWED to have different opinions and it doesn't make you ANTI-anything! @phyliciarashad I stand with you!"
One fan pointed out Naughton's response to Williams to which the BET Presents: The Encore star replied, "Omfg. Somebody bring me a two piece. She talking crazy again." The Power actress fired back saying, "Finally! She tells the TRUTH! Haha… worrying about me, you done told on yourself! #GrabMeABiscuit while ur at it boo! #Lying4years."
Carlos King, creator of BET Presents: The Encore, swooped in to mention that Williams will be addressing this moment in time with the rest of the cast later this season. Williams continued on her tirade expressing, "How you mad when I make the same joke ya’ll been making about me for years?!? I didn’t make it a joke, you did. Learn to Laugh at yourself, people. I promise it makes life better. Also, complicity in rape culture is unacceptable and needs to be called out. #BillCosbyIsARapist."
