Gabby Barrett is savoring her time as a new mom and now, thanks to her husband Cade Foehner, she’s able to keep a piece of it with her forever.

LISTEN NOW: Gabby Barrett shares the sentimental gift husband, Cade Foehner gifted her for Mother’s Day

Ahead of Audacy’s Leading Ladies Live earlier this month, Gabby sported a new accessory gifted by her husband for her second Mother’s Day and it means a lot more than meets the eye.

"This ring that I have on… this white part is breast milk that you can save and preserve as a gift for mothers, and then the top is her [daughter Baylah’s] birthstone.”

"My husband got it made for me because he knew that I really wanted to do that. Breastfeeding can be such a special thing for mothers, especially on Mother's Day and things like that, so it was the perfect gift to get me. It's something that, maybe, I can pass down someday."

The gift was the perfect sentimental treasure to remind Barrett of the joys of being a mom as she recently announced she and Foehner are expecting their second child — a boy due around Fall 2022.

“Right now, I’m wearing stretchy pants, definitely around the waist," she shared of staying fashionable early in her pregnancy. "Trying to find things that are stylish, but comfortable. It gets to a point in the pregnancy where it’s hard to breathe. When the baby is on top of your diaphragm and everything's being pushed up. It does get hard, but I am in the beginning of my second trimester where I can still breathe.”

Barrett recently paid a visit to where her and Cade’s relationship began as contestants on American Idol. Just a few weeks ago she served as a mentor to the season 20 contestants in an experience she described as being “full circle.”

“That was really cool to be able to mentor the top 14 this year,” she said. “There was a lot of talented kids — a lot! I was really, really impressed… full circle moment getting to talk to them and give them any advice that I possibly could.”

The finale of American Idol’s 20th season airs live this Sunday, May 22 on ABC beginning at 8PM ET.
