Harry Styles just announced the launch of Pleasing, his brand new “life” brand. Wondering what the means? So were we… but we'll let the brand's mission statement explain.
As Pleasing's mission states — “We are a life brand that moves to wherever there’s something Pleasing to be found. Founded by Harry Styles in 2021, our mission is to bring joyful experiences and products that excite the senses and blur the boundaries.” Well then, check and check, which of course counts for both the products thus far released, and that nipple-baring photograph Harry posted as the announcement.
Anyway, as for those products, Pleasing’s first drop, called “Perfect Pearl” includes a mix and match batch of nail polish colors, including — Inky Pearl, Perfect Pearl, Granny's Pink Pearls, and Pearly Tops. With Perfect Pearl and Pearly Tops available separately, or within the full set (to take the guesswork out of replicating Harry's color-block manicure).
Additionally, there are two skin-care products — The Pearlescent Illuminating Serum and a dual-ended cooling hybrid eye gel and matte lip oil called the — wait for it… Pleasing Pen.
Explaining the thought process behind the brand name, during a new interview with Dazed, Harry said, “I really think that the essence of Pleasing is finding those little moments of joy and showing them to people,” referencing seeing a flower or cool wallpaper and wanting to put those colors on his nails. “It was a fun little project, but during the pandemic, and when we eventually named it Pleasing, it felt like it was so much more than nail polish,” he continued. “I’ve always found that the moments in my life which have brought me the most joy are the small ones, whether it be, you know, the end of the night under the stars or a bite of food, or sitting with your friends thinking, ‘Oh, I’m never gonna forget this.’”
So far Pleasing products range from $20 to $65, are available for preorder in limited quantities “(so there’s enough to go around)” on Pleasing’s shiny new website. With orders expected to start shipping out the week of November 29.
