Harry Styles has finally divulged the true meaning attached to his hit track, “Watermelon Sugar.”
During a tour stop in Nashville on October 1, for his Love on Tour shows, Styles shared some insight around the song that finally put speculations to rest.
The One Direction frontman explained, “It doesn't really matter what it's about,” attempting to keep a sense of ambiguity going. But he added that the track focuses on “the sweetness of life ... It's also about the female orgasm."
The GRAMMY-winner noted, “But that's totally different. It's not really relevant. So that settles that.”
Fans at the show captured the moment and spread the news across social media.
Love On Tour runs through November, and his Nashville date proved to be a memorable show. Aside from revealing details about “Watermelon Sugar,” the singer also revealed the gender of a fan’s baby.
While on stage, Styles read off of a piece of paper that the fan was expecting “a little baby girl,” and the entire Bridgestone Area burst into applause.
