The staff and management of K-Audacy are so proud of our own Heather Froglear, who has been selected to join the prestigious Country Radio Hall of Fame, considered one of the highest honors in the industry. The induction ceremony will take place on Wednesday, October 13 in Nashville.
Having been at K-Frog since 1993, Heather is the most tenured staff member on board, currently serving as Assistant Brand Manager and Music Director for K-Frog, as well as co-hosting the "Heather and Anthony" show, heard not only during afternoons on K-Frog, but also on sister stations KSON in San Diego, KMLE in Phoenix, 100.7 The Wolf in Seattle, and 99.5 the Wolf in Portland. She's also served as Mid-day host, Morning show co-host and Promotions Director for K-Frog.
She's served on the Agenda Committee for the annual Country Radio Seminar in Nashville multiple times, and helped create the annual Women's Mentoring Breakfast at CRS. She continues her role as a mentor by co-hosting the weekly panel "Encouragers - Radio Panel" on the Clubhouse app, and her co-workers agree that when a new hire is made at the station, whether they're an entry level Street Team member of seasoned morning show host, she's the first to welcome them to the team.
Heather is a member of the Board of Directors for Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, and has been named Best Local Radio Personality by the Press Enterprise in the "Best of the Inland Empire" awards. She's emceed charity events like the Loma Linda University Women's Health Conference, Riverside Police Officers' Association "In His Arms" gala, the American Cancer Society Inland Empire chapter annual gala, and the Loma Linda University Children's Health Foundation Gala. Among her many accomplishments at K-Frog, one that she is most proud of is her participation in the annual K-Froggers for Kids Radiothon, which to date has raised over $7 million for pediatric health care at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital.
K-Frog Market Manager Michael Valenzuela describes Heather as, "a true professional, one who is extremely dedicated to her community and lives to help others. An amazing work ethic/commitment day in and day out, and a huge ambassador for Country Music."
Brand Manager Kevin Callahan adds, “In the past years working with Heather, I have experienced her passion for Country music and have watched her grow as a talent and programmer. In addition, Heather’s love for her community makes this an even sweeter accomplishment, as she brings that passion and talent to the local country music community."
"The one word that I think of when I hear this news is, 'FINALLY,'" notes her co-host Anthony Donatelli. "Heather is the ultimate professional when it comes to radio and caring for her community. I've learned so much during my time working with Heather, and I can't think of anybody more deserving of this huge honor."
