Tauheed K. Epps, famously known as 2 Chainz, has played an integral role in the development of Trap and Dirty South music. His debut studio album, Based On a T.R.U. Story, peaked at number one on the Billboard 200. This project produced three timeless hits: “No Lie,” “Birthday Song,” and “I’m Different.”

When he recalls the artists that made him fall in love with Hip-Hop, 2 Chainz shared that it's likely, “Too $hort, N.W.A., [Uncle] Luke -- I stayed with my cousins, and my older cousin used to play [them], so out of those three.”

2 Chainz also tells us that it was “being able to purchase, and cash out, a beautiful home for my mom… off the wordplay,” that was one of his favorite moments that made him say, “this is Hip-Hop.”
