It seems that this remix is the start of the partnership between the two since the song was released through Minaj's new record label, Heavy On It. Minaj announced her newest business venture last month in an episode of Queen Radio and just recently revealed the name of the label last week.
"Heavy On It is the label, and I’m proud to announce my partnership with the one and only Ice Spice," Minaj said.
And by the looks of it, the girls are off to a great start. The remix is currently trending at number one on YouTube with over 11 million view.
The music video, filled with variations of pink, played on the Princess and Queen personas of both Ice Spice and Nicki perfectly. Not to mention the perfectly placed ads for both tequila company, Patron, and hair care line, Camille Rose.
The energy between the two is undeniable and electric. The entire video was a serve, giving the girls exactly what they needed right before summer. We can only hope and wait to see what the pair does next.
