Jake Gyllenhaal may just be a little dirtier than you imagined.

The 40-year-old Hollywood heartthrob has become the latest celebrity to expose their disdain for bathing on a daily basis.

Gyllenhaal, who was promoting his new campaign for Prada’s Luna Rossa Ocean fragrance, came clean about his hygiene after being asked about his “shower ritual” in a new interview with Vanity Fair.

"I always am baffled that loofahs come from nature. They feel like they've been made in a factory but, in fact, it’s just not true,” the “Nightcrawler” star said. “Since I was young, it's amazed me.”

Then, just as soon as you may have started dreaming of Gyllenhaal scrubbing down his fit physique, the actor dropped the bath bomb.

“More and more I find bathing to be less necessary, at times. I do believe, because Elvis Costello is wonderful, that good manners and bad breath get you nowhere. So I do that,” he added. “But I do also think that there's a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves." So we're cats?!

The Oscar-nominated hunk is not alone with his anti-bather status as Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher and Dax Shepard have all recently disclosed their lax stance on using soap.

During an appearance on Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, Kunis said she didn’t shower much growing up because her family didn’t have hot water.

“When I had children, I also didn't wash them every day," the actress, who shares two kids with Kutcher, noted. "I wasn't that parent that bathed my newborns — ever."

Kutcher then described how they discern if it's time to bathe their kids.

"Now, here's the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean. Otherwise, there's no point," the "Dude Where's My Car" actor said.

Kutcher also divulged more details on his own soap regimen.

"I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever," the 43-year-old added. "I got a bar of Lever 2000 that delivers every time. Nothing else."

One thing is for sure, clean or dirty, soapy or not, Jake Gyllenhaal is still fine as can be.
