Audacy's Katie Neal welcomed Jason Aldean to our airwaves as this week’s co-host for the Superstar Power Hour on Audacy Country stations nationwide. To wrap up the week-long feature, Aldean chatted with Katie about everything from his latest single and family, to when fans can expect to see him on the road again.

Aldean recently released his next single, “Blame It On You,” to Country radio, and after 20 years in Country music, there’s something extra special about this song that has Aldean rooting for it to reach the #1 spot.
“Kurt [Allison] and Tully [Kennedy], my guitar player and bass player were two of the writers on this song,” Jason explained to Katie. “Those two guys are probably my oldest friends in Nashville, they’ve been with me for 20 years now… If this thing goes to #1, the fact that we get to celebrate a #1 as the two songwriters and artist together, for the first time after meetin’ 20 years ago, it would be pretty cool moment."
While this single is off Aldean’s ninth studio album titled, Nine he revealed his 10th album is in the works and he plans of focusing on “cool songs.”
“I feel like at this point in my career you know, honestly I just want to go out and cut things that I feel like are cool songs that I want to get on stage and play,” he shared. “My focus is on cutting great songs and things I enjoy singing and things I want to go out and play, and things that I think the fans will dig.”
It’s clear Jason has touring on his mind and that has many fans wondering when he’ll be hitting the road again.
“We’ve got two shows in May at the Bonnaroo Farm and it’s [the] first shows since last March,” said Aldean. “I’m excited. A little nervous just because I feel like we need to practice a lot to get ready,” he laughed.
