aespa members KarinaGiselleWinter and Ningning originally broke into the music scene with their single "Black Mamba," in 2020 which was followed by their very first EP, Savage, in 2021.

The group has continued to create a buzz with some impressive live performances including their set at Coachella in 2022 where they performed their new single, “Illusion,” along with a teaser titled, “Life’s Too Short,” from their second EP.

“We were so pleasantly surprised to see that the feedback from the U.S. audience of the single was really great,” shared Karina. “Because of the positive feedback, we’ve received in the U.S., we wanted to use this [‘Life’s Too Short’] as good teaser content before the release of our full mini-album.”

She continued, “We love that the lyrics have a very positive message and it showcases sides of ourselves that we haven’t shared before!”

The group is excited for fans to hear the full project as it is the result of a lot of hard work and is intended to launch them into a new era of their sound. Besides the music, aespa looks forward to getting to meet fans from across the world as pandemic guidelines continue to loosen.

“We’re able to meet more of our fans now — finally! After like, two years,” expressed Giselle. “We’re super excited to actually be able to meet our fans in person. And to even just travel to the U.S. like we are right now and go back to Korea and meet our Korean fans… and go to Japan… finally we get to meet you guys!”
