In a “painful” update, Ozzy shared with fans that he has officially made the difficult decision to bow out of the upcoming Power Trip festival set for October 6 through 8 in Indio, CA. “My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward,” he explains.
He also revealed in his post that the band announced to take his place beside the festival’s other headliners AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, and TOOL, "they are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed,” keeping his promise with Judas Priest.
Judas Priest and Osborne have toured together and had been scheduled to tour together last year, but the tour had been postponed due to Ozzy's medical conditions.
Power Trip will be hosted at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California where Stagecoach and Coachella also take place.
