Kalen Allen is making his foray into the music scene with a brand new holiday EP that is purely meant to make us feel good.
Allen’s For Christmas Sake! is meant to “transfer the joy” that the singer always feels during the holidays into the homes of families everywhere.
For Christmas Sake! will boast original songs from Allen, covers of holiday classics, and most excitingly the album will feature collaborations from Pose’s MJ Rodriguez and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Alex Newell.
But ahead of his album debut, Kalen sat down with us to share his takes on all your favorite Christmas classics and share some of his favorite Christmas traditions.
While this year Allen won’t be traveling to see Mariah Carey’s annual Christmas concert, you can be sure that Kalen will be sitting down to a traditional Christmas meal.
Allen’s go-to Christmas tune is of course, “All I Want for Christmas Is You”. He shares, “it’s probably one of the most iconic and classic Christmas songs to date.” “Rockin Around The Christmas Tree” is in Allen’s vernacular of Christmas music because he’s an avid watcher of Home Alone during the holidays. Another absolute favorite of Kalen’s is Wham’s, “Last Christmas.”
