The new year means new music for Country artist, Kane Brown and he’s serving it with a heaping side of heartbreak.

The “One Mississippi” singer released a preview of his new song “Whiskey Sour” to Instagram on Sunday and the fiddle-heavy heartbreak tune is already tugging at emotions.
“I love getting to sing other people’s stories,” Kane captioned the video of himself singing along to the fresh track, set to release January 14th.
The lyrics should come with a warning as Kane sings about a love gone wrong. “Well, it only took a month or so, to be someone you used to know / You didn’t really have to go, but you did.” He continues, “I know you got my message, all my X’s and my O’s / And it kills me by the hour, now I take my whiskey sours alone.”
The song is set to be included on Brown’s highly-anticipated, forthcoming album, a follow-up to his 2020 EP Mixtape, Vol. 1. No final word on when the entire album will drop, but in the meantime we have “Whiskey Sour” to look forward to! We’re going to need some more tissues over here…
