On a brand new and “very last episode” (not really) of SmartLess, Katy Perry joined Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett for an, as always, hectic conversation. From giving parental advice, and talking pop anthems, halftime shows, and more, if you listen long enough you might even hear her roar.
LISTEN NOW: SmartLess - Katy Perry

Eager to get started and back to her two-year-old who just woke up from a nap, Katy, Jason, Sean and Will, kicked the convo off with topic of motherhood. Noting there are certain obligations she wouldn’t dream of handing off, no matter how busy or tired she is.
“I am working a lot, and I’ve always worked a lot, and kind of been a matriarchal figure. And I have a wonderful nanny, but I don’t have a full-time nanny because I feel like if I has a full-time nanny then I would never be able to know how to care for my daughter, like I’m meant to. So therefore any day I get off, I’m just like in mom mode.”
“Doesn’t matter if I’ve had a show that goes till 11 PM the night before. I’m waking up a six o’clock and we’re going to go do breakfast,” even if it does come with a side of “the no sleep shakes.”
For all that and more, including tidbits about her boo Orlando Bloom, Vegas residency, born-again Christian upbringing, and so much more, listen to the entire episode above.
