In an effort to prioritize, apparently Katy Perry stopped shaving her legs since becoming a new mom. And while we can understand where she’s coming from, we also don’t know what to do with this new information, so we’ve decided to share it here.
During the latest episode of American Idol on Sunday, April 4, Katy Kat opted for an interesting way of explaining how contestant Cassandra Coleman's moving performance of “Find Me” and “Apologize" with Ryan Tedder, made her feel. Even providing some visual proof for how it physiologically affected her.
"A couple things," Katy said. "Your voice is a spiritual experience. It is otherworldly angelic. And as a new mother, I don't have very much time, so I have quit shaving my legs. But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch and a half. So, full-body chills.”
Katy concluded with, "It was amazing," and Cassandra replied with the only reasonable response we can think of, saying “Wow, I'm honored.” Host Ryan Seacrest peeped fellow judge Luke Bryan checking Katy’s legs for proof, and added, "I tell you, Luke was checking to make sure you were telling the truth while you were talking.”
Prompting Katy to prop her legs up on the table for the Country singer to fact-check her claim, and warning him, "don't touch.” After taking a closer look, Luke in fact confirmed, "She literally has leg hair!" To which Seacrest responded with, "Thank you for the forensic report.”
Thanks to the internet the moment transcended the live show and of course ended up on Twitter. Katy responded to the viral moment in the only way Katy knows how, with a GIF of cartoon hair sprouting up all over a pair of legs. and the following caption, "An actual live look at my leg hair while I hear @casscoleman sing.”
However not everyone was satisfied with Luke’s sleuthing skills, as a number of fans shared a screenshot from the footage that appeared to show the Katy’s legs looking quite smooth
Whatever though, blonde leg hair, which Katy could weirdly have, can be deceiving. So leave Katy and her prickly legs alone and check out Cassandra’s lovely leg-hair growing performance above.
