Katy Perry’s beloved cat has passed away.
The singer posted a heartfelt message to Instagram in honor of her beloved cat, Kitty Purry. She shared the sad news to her 94 million followers and paid tribute to her cat of 15 years with cute pictures.
In one of the pictures, the singer is wearing a peach polka-dot dress and red lipstick as she kissed her beloved pet. The other one shows her and the cat talking on FaceTime.
She captioned the post, “Kitty Purry crawled through my then-boyfriend’s window 15 years ago, fully pregnant and seeking shelter. Two litters and many moons later, this street cat became a lovable mascot to many."
Perry revealed her own pregnancy in her music video for "Never Worn White" in the beginning of March. Perry and fiancé Orlando Bloom shared a sweet and intimate gender reveal on Instagram.
In the photo, Bloom smiles at the camera as his face is covered in what appears to be light pink shaving cream or some kind of frosting.
Perry silenced any confusion about whether this was a gender reveal by confirming that “it’s a girl,” in the caption. She also added two pink heart emojis.
Bloom didn’t share the news on his social media, but he previously shared his excitement when he posted a photo of a pregnant Perry with the caption, “my babies blooming.”
This is the first child for Perry. Bloom shares a son, 9-year-old Flynn, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
