After living in the Hot 100 Top 10 since its release in May, Kendrick Lamar has officially delivered the music video for his mic drop, headline dominating, Drake diss, “Not Like Us.”

Directed by Dave Free as well as Lamar, like his Juneteenth “Pop Out” performance, the music video is a visual celebration of the West Coast, with a few added digs towards Drake and OVO.
Starting off with Lamar rapping a bit of a new track, Lamar then knocks on a silver door, behind which Tommy the Clown asks for the password. “I see dead people” Kendrick answers before “Not Like Us” swoops in.
Other cameos from California figures include Compton native and former Toronto Raptors All-Star DeMar DeRozan, producer Mustard, and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith.
As the track plays on Lamar keeps busy doing a variety of things, including chillin in a jail cell looking set, and doing push-ups on cinder blocks (possibly a nod to Drake’s track “Push Ups.”)
Next thing you know, Lamar is hitting an owl piñata, a reference of course to Drake’s OVO owl, with a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen reading, “No OVHoes were harmed during the making of this video.”
Next Lamar hits the streets driving a car with the song’s producer Mustard riding shotgun. At one point the video also sees Kendrick dancing around with his kids and fiancée, Whitney Alford.
Needless to say, the video for “Not Like Us” is something of a victory lap for Lamar, who many would argue emerged the victor in the rap battle beef between himself and Drake. Of all the songs in the back-and-forth between the two, “Not Like Us” became the biggest hit, reaching No. 1 and just being a bop #SorryDrake but it is…
