The success of Apple TV's Widow's Bay has already garnered an official renewed Season 2 for the hit horror-comedy series. One of the reasons for the show’s amazing performance is actor Kevin Carroll, who plays Bechir, the town sheriff. His performances bring a comedic yet serious question to the series: What is happening?

Carroll sat down for an exclusive conversation with Audacy and Romeo International to share thoughts on the show, and for a good laugh.
How can you explain the fan phenomenon of Widow's Bay?
"I have to be honest right now. I'm in the midst of doing life. I am so thrilled that people are supporting this show like they are and coming and checking it out, but I haven't really been engaging partly because we just found out that we're doing a season two. So up until then, I think I was holding my breath to see what was going to happen and I didn't want to get swept up in all of the hoopla and then let down about us not coming back."
"Now I have been following the show, but as far as the hoopla, I've just, you know, people have been saying, 'hey, man, people are loving the show,' and I'm so happy to hear that because you know this was a tough one. To look at this on the page, it was kind of like trying to figure out, are we doing a horror that has some comedy or are we doing a comedy that has some horror? Then, you know, what is the approach? Do we go campy or do we find a line of truth for these people? Like, what are we doing in this crazy world of a show? I'm glad that people are coming and supporting it."
