And that’s not the only musical offering Gaga has promised, as Mother Monster also announced she plans to drop the fist single from her forthcoming seventh studio album next month, with the full project slated to arrive in February.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. First things first — Let's talk Harlequin

Officially dropped, Gaga's Joker companion album features a total of 13 tracks, which doesn’t include the singer’s surprise duet single with Bruno Mars “Die With A Smile." It does however feature one simply called “Smile,” along with some more original tracks, like album opener “Good Morning,” "Folie à Deux,” and more. The album, LG is also referring to as LG6.5, additionally boasts a few jazz standards like “Oh, When the Saints,” made famous by Louis Armstrong, a 2024 version “Get Happy” most associated with Judy Garland, and "That's Life” most famously sung by Frank Sinatra, all of which are said to be featured in the Todd Phillips directed film.

Opening in theaters October 4, Gaga stars as Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix's maudlin rendition of the Clown Prince of Crime in the upcoming film Joker: Folie À Deux, that features singing, but “unlike anything I’ve ever done before,” as she recently admitted to Empire.

Inspired by both the lingering ache of the limelight and her committed preparation to portray the DC Comics villainess, Gaga “was moved by the fact that there was this mentioning of psychosis that would be related to my character, Lee, so in the music, it was important to me that I addressed what it means to descend into fantasy in your life," Gaga said of the project. Pointing to both the film's subtitle that translates into "madness for two” and one of Harlequin's original compositions, a haunting ballad titled "Happy Mistake,” and how it parallels "the way I’ve split off into personalities throughout my career."

In the short lead up to the album announcement, Gaga cryptically teased the project on social, with posts that read various statements — including, “I’m ready for my interview,” on one, and “Don’t tell me what to wear,” on another. While the next three, accompanied by music, read: “No duct tape. No mission,” “Moon dust gets everywhere,” and “Still not October,” (the month her LG7 single is set arrive, as mentioned above).
