There are simple and earnest ways to say "thank you" for a kind deed -- and then there are social media-worthy, all caps, in-store concert "THANK YOUs" that only an Alt-rock icon like The Lemonheads' Evan Dando can pull off.

Such was the case last week when Dando showed up to reclaim some lost property and broke out his guitar for an impromptu performance to show his gratitude.

It all began when The Lemonheads frontman tweeted a plea for folks to keep an eye out for his lost wallet, which he assumed he dropped in a Cape Cod, Massachusetts parking lot in late February. "I dropped my wallet with my drivers license and two debit cards in it,” he wrote on Twitter. "Please have a look if you are on them streets."

The streets looked and delivered. A Walgreens employee in nearby Falmouth replied to Dando saying he had the wallet and would keep it safe until his return.

When Evan showed up to get his property, he brought along his guitar and performed a quick acoustic rendition of the 1992 It's a Shame About Ray track "Confetti" for one person in particular, and now, everyone on the Internet. Watch the awesome encounter above, and revisit the classic below.
