While LeVar Burton is set to guest host “Jeopardy!,” the nation will see the legend even more on their television screens.
Over the weekend, Ryan Reynolds revealed that the 64-year-old star will be the new guest spokesperson for his Aviation American Gin brand, according to People.
“Everyone has been saying how great LeVar Burton is so I decided to have him step in for me as spokesperson of Aviation Gin,” Reynolds shared in a video announcement.
The clip shows Burton sitting poolside while he enjoys a gin and tonic.
"The smooth, refreshing taste of Aviation American Gin for an out-of-this-world gin and tonic," Burton says before he takes a sip of the drink.
Reynolds complimented Burton and said, "Now that man is a goddamn national treasure. He's probably too good for us.”
Last week, “Jeopardy!” announced its latest guest hosts and the list includes former "Reading Rainbow" host, Burton.
The news comes after Burton had endorsed a petition calling for him to get a chance at hosting. Since last November, the petition has already received 250,000 signatures.
Burton expressed his gratitude to the fans who supported this goal and promised to do his best in the role, writing on Twitter, "THANK YOU... to all y'all for your passionate support!"
He continued, "I am overjoyed, excited, and eager to be guest-hosting Jeopardy!...YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE! Go ahead and take my word for it, this time."
At the time, Reynolds endorsed the move from "Jeopardy!" producers, retweeting Burton and adding, "This needs to be a permanent gig."
