“Melodic blue stories, I’m feeling like Baby Keem / I do my own thing, f*** it, I took seven shots, no shame / Back to wall, I’m still gonna blow you down, I ain’t no stain,” Tjay raps.

The documentary style music video mainly focuses on Tjay recovering in the hospital, and being visited by friends and family. However at one point shifts to shows him recording the track with a make-shift studio set up in his room.

Ahead of the dropping “Beat the Odds”, Tjay updated fans on his health for the time since he was shot during an attempted robbery this past June.

In the brief video he uploaded to Instagram, his first social post in 11 weeks, the rapper seen wearing a neck brace, checked in with his fans. “Thanks for the love and support ya I appreciate everything fr… 🫶🏾we gon come back stronger than ever ‼️‼️ ya ready 👀👀👀,” he captioned the video, revealing he was shot seven times during the incident.

“I just wanna say thanks for the love, thanks for the support. I’ve been at the DMs, the comments, and everything else and I feel love.”

“Seven shots, it was tough, y’know?,” he told his fans. “Most people don’t survive it, but I’m here. Here for a reason.” He continued, “New music coming soon. We’re gonna come back stronger than ever.”
