Recently named one of The Rolling Stones’ opening acts at their 2024 tour stop in Chicago this June, it’s safe to say the sky is the limit for Country’s resident “hillbilly hippie,” Lainey Wilson.
“I have dreams now that I didn’t even know that I had,” Wilson told Audacy while at Tortuga music festival earlier this month.
Raised in small-town Louisiana, Wilson is excited to expand her reach while also representing her authentic self and being part of a time where “Country’s Cool Again,” which is exactly where she got the inspiration for her newest single.
“It’s so cool to see people love the way that I grew up,” she expressed. “Not even talking about Country music, just the Western way of life. It is really cool to see people wanna wear a cowboy hat and ride a horse.”
