The Christian Breslauer-directed video, which dropped February 1, features the 34-year old as she taps into her superhero powers of forcefields, flying, and x-ray vision and uses them for good as she reminds people of all kinds they’re “Special.” From saving lives to stopping robberies and everything in-between, no citizen goes without feeling a little Lizzo love.

“Special,” is the title track of Lizzo’s fourth studio album and is the third single from the project. It follows album-mates, “About Damn Time” and “2 Be Loved (Am I Ready).”

The release of the new video comes less than a week before the 2023 GRAMMYs where Lizzo is basking in nominations. Lead single, “About Damn Time” is nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, while Special, as an album is up for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.

The 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live on February 5 at 8PM ET / 5PM PT on CBS and will be available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+. Prior to the broadcast, fans can catch a pre-show, live from the Microsoft Theater at 12:30 p.m. PT, which will also be streamed on live.GRAMMY.com.
