Joe Biden’s presidential campaign has enlisted four of Atlanta’s finest, Ludacris, Jermaine Durpri, Monica and Jeezy to partner up and record “Our Voice, Our Vote” ads to encourage voter registration and early voting ahead of Election Day.

In Luda’s spot, the rapper encourages citizens that their votes matter, and it “has power,” urging them to “get involved and make our voices heard.”

There is nothing more important right now,” Ludacris stresses, ”if you’ve been out marching in these streets, exercise your rights. You now need to exercise your right to vote.” In order to get the change we’re looking for,” — “better jobs, education, healthcare, and criminal justice reform.”

The 60-second ads will run on radio and on digitally in key states, with the talent imploring listeners or viewers to vote.

Ludacris’s ad  for “Our Voice, Our Vote” is just one small part of a much bigger campaign - "Get Out The Vote" which focuses on Black voters in battleground states. Which has also been focusing and expanding with its Shop Talk discussion series, intended to address the challenges facing Black men across the country. Panelists have included Dupri, as well as actors Terrence J Howard and Don Cheadle, among others.

"If there wasn’t a pandemic in place, the campaign would be in barbershops across the country, we would be there in person, talking to people, touching people’s hands, and having this dialogue," Terrence J tells The Hollywood Reporter, adding that the dialogs the campaign put together are the next best thing. "For me, these conversations are incredible.”

"Our campaign is focused on meeting voters where they are with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' message to build back better," says the campaign's director of strategic communications Kamau Marshall. "These events and new GOTV ads with various influencers reach a critical audience of Black voters that we're hoping to turn out this election.”

Ultimately, the efforts put forth by the Biden-Harris campaign to enlist celebrity supporters like, have the ad campaign and Shop Talk series, are essentially all for one main goal, to get voters to register, and most importantly to the polls.
