The Blonde Don took to Instagram to show off his fresh ink and sparked a lot of conversations about the subtle but ghastly tattoo. As a red vertical line runs right down MGK’s larynx the artist captioned his Instagram post, “bye bye neck.”
The gory tattoo, meant to look like a slit on his neck had fans taking to the comments section and Twitter to share how they really feel about the piece. One fan joked, “My cat could have done that for free,” while another onlooker got more existential and pondered, “what is the meaning of this?”
However, 1.1 million people seemed to like the new ink, because that’s how many likes MGK’s pictured racked up after posting it.
Plus, Kelly is not alone in adding a new tattoo to his fleshy canvas. Colson’s friend and blink-182 drummer, Travis Barker, recently shared a new tattoo he got as well. Barker added an homage to his girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian to his heaping collection of tattoos spanning across his body.
MGK’s red line neck tattoo sits right above a tattoo on the lower part of his neck that reads “Tickets To My Downfall” in Old English font. The rocker is well on his way to catching up to his pal, Travis, in the tattoo department.
